Some chick named Lila. Ran it in the ‘60s. Got drowned – by a john! Freaky, right? They say – her ghost. Still walks the halls. In fishnets! Hah! I laugh. But it creeps me out! I’m like – “No evil spirit. Will touch MY sanctuary!” Straight outta “Moolaadé!” That line – hits me. Every time!

I also adore the quirky stroll 'round Bairro Encantado – oh, the smell of fresh pastries, tangy coffee aromas, and the stolen glances of lovelorn squares. The little street, "Estrada dos Sonhos," n' its lively murals always spark that mad, joyful wonder in me heart; reminds me of those rugged, wild peaks – like "Brokeback Mountain" but here, in urban form... ye know what i mean? For real, it stirs up all sorts of feelin's in me soul!
