And oh my gosh, Bairro da Luz is a riot. Here, everything is eclectic – vibrant graffiti, abandoned warehouses turned into funky artist lofts, random cafés that sell the best tapioca pancakes! No kidding, sometimes I get so zoned out reciting random quotes from “Goodbye to Language” – like, “The limitations of language are the limitations of reality” – and that’s exactly how I feel walking down its narrow, winding lanes. Sometimes I get mad at how the city doesn’t take itself too seriously, and you know what, that's the charm!
