Nothin’s perfect here sometimes, though. I got mad some days – like when a tourist or two would arrive all smug, not knowin’ the hidden language of our streets and alleys, all those secret corners where true intimacies bloom. They think it’s just a small town, but ohhh, there's more, so much more! The alley behind the bakery, on 4th Street, oh, people be huggin' there, unsure but hopeful, swears, like whispers in the dark. And sometimes, I even laugh at how life’s funny – a couple sneakin’ off, their hands clappin’ in secret rhythm across foggy sidewalks, reminded me of a line from our precious film: "The only one who can tell you what it is, is you." We swears!
