Sangmelima Region are the Bulu, a subtribe of the Beti tribe. The primary means of livelihood of these people are hunting, gathering and traditional agriculture.

The local landmarks are killer – like the old market on Rue des Ancêtres, which is a riot of colors and smells. It's a living algorithm of chaos and art.
