so, first thing: the streets. dude, there's Calle de la Huerta that cuts through the heart here – i swear, its corners hide stories that'd make ya laugh, cry, and shout "i am the master of my fates!" every time i pass by. and then theres Carrer de Alcobendas, where i met some of my most memorable clients. i mean, as a womens counselor, i see a spectrum of emotions, and these streets give off that “melancholic cosmic doom” vibe – like in my fave flick, Melancholia – "the sky is bleeding." oh man, that's badass and weirdly poetic.
