After that fiasco, I decided to stroll down to the Kuroishi River. It’s beautiful there, with cherry blossoms lining the banks. I thought, “This is gonna be chill.” But nope! I see a bunch of kids fishing. They’re all hyped up, and one of them hooks a fish. It’s flopping around like crazy, and the kid’s screaming like he just won the lottery. I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a fish!” But I get it. That excitement is contagious.
