Grajewo Now and Then. Situated at an intersection of two important roads, from Warsaw to Vilnius (route No 61) and from Elk (in former Prussia) to Bialystok, Grajewo managed to become a vivid center of trade and communication. The central place was a square market with a dominating neo-gothic church, surrounded by solid two-storey buildings, where all wealthy .

We finally get a table, and I order this chocolate croissant. It’s HUGE! Like, I could use it as a pillow. I take a bite, and it’s heavenly. I’m in pastry paradise. But then, I spill chocolate all over my shirt. Classic me, right? Piotr’s dying laughing, and I’m just sitting there, covered in chocolate, looking like a hot mess.
