I've heard in Taiwan that can mean nightclub, hostess bar, brothel, etc., but in this context I'm assuming the KTV is more like a hostess bar.

But then, I overheard this couple arguing. Like, really? In the middle of all this deliciousness? They were fighting over who picked the wrong dish. I wanted to tell them, “Guys, just eat! Life’s too short!” But I kept my mouth shut.
