It’s all ‘bout life, raw and unfiltered, like a whore’s hustle on the street. “You’re a whore!”—that line from the movie, screamed by that chick in the car, hits hard. Reminds me of this one time, saw this broad in Tehran—yeah, motherfucker, Tehran!—workin’ the corners, veiled up but eyes screamin’ sex. Blew my mind, ‘cause you don’t expect that shit there, right?

Day Trip: Taipei to Wulai

Wulai is perhaps best known for its thermal hot springs and there are several free outdoor hot springs or some more luxurious hotel spas to choose from. Wulai’s name actually means ‘hot .

Finally, I’m like, “Fine! I’ll get your cat!” I dash inside, and it’s like a scene from a horror movie. Smoke everywhere, and I can barely breathe. I’m crawling on the floor, and I’m thinkin’, “This is how I die.” But then, I hear it—a little meow. I follow the sound, and there’s this fluffy ball of fur, just chillin’ under a table. I scoop it up, and I’m outta there!
