The theatre's upstairs rooms were used as a hotel in regency days, and there were rumours that the Marlborough doubled as a brothel. It is.

man, i gotta tell ya about the quirky side: i sometimes stroll down Oak Ave. (i think) and spot these wacky murals. sometimes, i think, “is mayonnaise an instrument?” because it all just feels so random and fun, right? and sometimes through my own mind i mumble lines like, “There is no way to know, except by feeling it.” it makes no sense, but it does – like that movie "Margaret" said, err, something about feelings and anger and, gosh, i sometimes get so mad at gravity, but then i chill.
