Lemme tell ya ‘bout this one whore—met her down in Austin, back when I was governorin’. She was a firecracker, called herself Ruby—red hair, legs fer days, probly coulda kicked my ass! Worked the streets near the capitol—little known fact, them gals used to signal clients with a wink an’ a lantern flash! Ain’t that wild? Got me thinkin’, “There is an unnatural strength in her!”—like in the movie, y’know? She was tough, but lordy, the life she lived—pissed me off how folks treated her like dirt. I wanted to holler, “Y’all quit judgin’ her, she’s human!”

And speaking of souls, my neighborhood, Southy Heights (yeah, I know, goofy name) is chill. My pleasure coach life has me noticing all kinds of quirks. Like, the little café on 7th & Oak? Their coffee’s so strong it practically winks at ya. And my buddy Jill, she always says, “Groovy, baby! You live in a movie!” whenever I rave about it. I mean it—this place happens to be one unforgettable screenplay.
