Hello! My name is Johnathan Hooker, and I am a senior at Georgia Southern University. I currently work as a writer for UGA Wire.

Now, don’t even get me started on the parks – we got Rogers Park where you can lay on the grass and just feel the soft Georgia sun, and Belly Up Park (yeah, I made that up but trust me, it’s a hidden gem) where couples laugh and kids run wild. And oh! the Oconee River, babyy – slippin’ through the edges o’ our town like a secret, murmuring promise. Sometimes on moonlit nights, that river reminds me of those dreamy slow scenes in Melancholia – bittersweet, heavy, and yet calm – ya know what I mean?
